What is Fulvic Acid?

Fulvic acid is found in everything in a very tiny amount. The humus of earth is the layer of decomposed matter, this is a highly nutritious layer which feeds the plants, millions of microbes come together and feast on decaying plants and animals matters creating a very small amount of Fulvic acid. Fulvic acid activates the nutrients in the soil and allows the plant cells to absorb and utilise them.

The main compound of shilajit is fulvic acid. In the soil it acts the same as in our bodies, fulvic acid will act as a vehicle to carry minerals, vitamins, and other nutrients to the right places. Fulvic acid molecules can carry more than 65+ minerals and trace elements directly into the mitochondria, in other words, the core of our cells. Shilajit's Fulvic acid carries more than 84+ trace minerals which will turn our cells into supercells giving it capability of absorbing almost all the nutrients that enter our bodies, furthermore the cells become more permeable and receptive.

For years now we have known that our bodies require around 90 nutrients which are

  • 17 vitamins
  • 59 minerals
  • 12 amino acids
  • 3 essential fatty acids

Understanding that, we know we can live longer and healthier, nature is a very slow process but a perfect one. Our bodies have adapted over thousands of years and perfected the human machine, but the past century or so human lifestyles have changed so rapidly yet the body needs time to change to his new lifestyle.

As such, in order to be able to produce enough energy so we do not get tired so easily, we can either do this by boosting our body's immune system by pushing man-made supplements or use what nature has provided for us.

Shilajit for Energy

According to a study by (Dr. Gene Bruno) Forty-eight healthy volunteers, including recreational athletes and sportspersons, participated in a randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind, cross-over, clinical trial 15 to examine the effect of a placebo or 250 mg PrimaVie shilajit, twice daily, on improving endurance capacity. The results showed that there was about a nine to 13 percent increase in exercise time in the shilajit groups (P= 0.0028), while there were no significant changes in exercise time in the placebo group. This study also measured metabolic equivalents (METs). METs are a unit used to estimate the amount of oxygen used by the body during physical activity. The harder the body works during the activity, the more oxygen is consumed and the higher the MET level. In the study, there was a significant increase in the METs value after three weeks of shilajit treatment in comparison to placebo treatment at the same time points. Researchers concluded that the increase in the METs explains the increase in the exercise time resulting from supplementation with shilajit. No adverse reactions were reported with the PrimaVie shilajit.

In another study, 16 six normal human volunteers received 200 mg of PrimaVie shilajit and then engaged in aerobic exercise. The subjects continued taking shilajit for 15 days, at which point they again engaged in aerobic exercise. The purpose was to determine if shilajit could improve biochemical indicators of energy production. The results showed a significant improvement in energy from supplementation with shilajit. Specifically, levels of ATP (the body’s “energy currency”) increased by about 14 percent. Likewise, the level of fitness also increased by about 15 percent which was impressive since the subjects in the study were not sports trained individuals. Another interesting change was that shilajit normalized the coenzyme Q10 levels in whole blood and reduced the uric acid levels, demonstrating efficacy as an energy booster.

Fulvic acid is a very important compound for plants and humans known otherwise as The Miracle Compound. This boosts the core of our cells with Fulvic acid, which is indeed beneficial. So why not have it naturally from shilajit over any other source, additionally it has 84+ trace minerals thus making it nothing less than a miraculous superfood.
